The easiest SQL database server to work with

What do you like best? My favorite parts of Microsoft SQL Server are 1) the way Microsoft has implemented T-SQL to make it very easy to use and get information out of, and 2) the SQL Server Management Studio tool, my favorite SQL Database Management tool and code editor. What do you dislike? I use a 3rd party add-on from RedGate called "SQL Prompt" to improve upon Microsoft's already great Intellisense. RedGate just takes things a little further than Microsoft does. What problems are ...

One of the greatest databases I've used

What do you like best? I enjoy the packed toolkit it provides. T-SQL is also a very powerful scripting language which comes with Microsoft SQL and is a delight to use. SQL Profiler helps me keep track of database modifications and plan my actions accordingly. What do you dislike? I don't like its query optimizer. Sometimes it messes up the execution plans and what should have been a simple query can hang the server. It happens very rarely, though, so, it's fine. Recommendations to ...

Microsoft SQL server Management

What do you like best? The aspect that I love the most about MS SQL server Management is the layout and setup of the databases inside the tool and also how the queries are not case sensitive unlike some other softwares. The one aspect that I do not enjoy about MS SQL server management is the installation process of the software. The entire installation process is very lengthy and time ...
