SharePoint - Complicated, but Powerful
What do you like best? SharePoint has a large number of features. What do you dislike? For any, even lightly advanced, feature, time and research are necessary. Recommendations to others considering the product: I would recommend taking training courses as an administrator. I would also recommend training courses for any secondary administrators. You'll want to decide how you want to use SharePoint, as confusion will commence if you are looking to build dashboards and ...

facilitates the complexity of long and shared documents
What do you like best? I like this great tool because the software is designed for integration, it has no place for personal use as it is designed primarily for companies I can see and share my recently opened documents quickly or open one of the applications I have installed on my computer, it is easy to share documents with your co-workers. That then avoids having to send it in an email and use so much space Much more than a repository of documents, we have been using SharePoint as ...

SharePoint for Packaging Team!
What do you like best? The best part about this is having a whole website dedicated to our team! This way we are easily connected while being a global team. We can file share, calendar share, note share, and all on one simple website. This way we can all edit certain files and share information while being located around the globe! We use the sharepointe site as basically our packaging global site to share items on. We use this basically as our historical database on information that ...

Sharepoint Review
What do you like best? Sharepoint is integrated into our e-mail interface, which does make it (theoretically easy to manage, collate, store, and integrate documents from attachments and other storage media and share those through e-mail or dedicated Sharepoint sites. Having separate sites / folders for various tasks/committees/projects is also useful for keeping things organized. What do you dislike? The User Experience is subpar-- it is cumbersome and requires what seems like ten ...

Best Content Management Software
What do you like best? The best thing I like about SharePoint is the fact we are able to collaborate on one document or file among workmates get tasks done. Mostly, we deal with Presentations which require lots of inputs from different individuals, with such interdependence, we can only achieve objectives with a software such as SharePoint. Additionally, SharePoint provides a secure platform for document and file management. This way, we are able to store, access and share documents ...

SharePoint makes for great collaboration!
What do you like best? The most helpful aspect of SharePoint is being able to work simultaneously with others on a file. For an example, we work heavily in PowerPoint and are constantly working collaboratively for presentations. SharePoint allows for user friendly editing, saving, and sharing among team members. Everybody can work in the file simultaneously with SharePoint automatically saving the updates/edits made. Instead of emailing the files, worrying about file size, and ...

SharePoint, excellent content management software.
What do you like best? Speaking of Share Point I love this platform because it is very helpful because this Microsoft server hosted in the cloud allows my company to store, access, share and manage documented information from any affiliated device. I also love this tool because of its centralized management console that allows me to access basic operator functions, adjust settings, monitor performance, and take advantage of configuration wizards all in one place. This makes my job ...

Worse system ever
What do you like best? There is very little I like about SharePoint. About the only saving grace here is that you can share documents within your organization. What do you dislike? Where do I begin? First, SharePoint is notorious for constantly signing me out throughout the day, even when I’m using it. This means, when I upload a document, it says that a “guest user” uploaded it, not me. There is, of course, no way to fix this later. I can’t even delete it. Second, it is extremely ...

Amazing document management platform.
What do you like best? What I love about SharePoint is that it is a platform that offers a great diversity of tools that allow me to manage and develop documents in a simple, fast and efficient way. The best of all that this incredible platform offers is that it is online. This allows me to share documents with my co-workers and manage all my documents in the cloud without many complications. It also offers plans with a wide range of tools that fits the needs of each user, ...

Effective collaboration (unless it's a spreadsheet)
What do you like best? The ability to work on large Word documents together in real time is amazing. Being able to collect comments on a document in one place, and ensure that reviewers are looking at the most current version is helpful. Realizing that I need to change something after sending out a call for input, and then being able to change the document and have all users see it as it was supposed to be, is a huge timesaver. Generally, document organization among groups of users ...
