Microsoft Project on a real IT project

What do you like best? The ease of use, for example updating project activities is quick and efficient. What do you dislike? Updating one field often times changes other fields, for no obvious reasons. A lot of education and background knowledge is required to be able to track even a small and straigthforward project. For example, updating Remaining Work updates also Total Work, which is sometimes logica, but in our case it was not necessary if you with to track the Total Planned Work ...

MS Project Review

What do you like best? Great for managing/documenting small to medium size IT projects. It integrates well with other office suite apps, e.g, Excel, Word, Outlook. What do you dislike? The license cost is an add-on to the MS Office suite. A MS Project license can cost almost as much as the MS Office suite. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Ensuring that projects are managed on time and any nuances documented in a single location.

Versatile Software for any size of project

What do you like best? I like that all the training materials are on the web. Since it's a Microsoft product, the support is readily available. With regards to features, I like their reporting module since it can be graphical. What do you dislike? What I do not like is there are lots of functions unnoticed and some of its features are hard to find. Even though I have been using it for quite a while. It will still take me lots of minutes to find something within the software. ...
