Project is the Cadillac of Project Planning
What do you like best? It has a ton of features, from accounting for specific team member vacation days, holidays, weekdays, to dependencies and cascading deadlines. It has a built in Gantt chart as well. What do you dislike? Many people don't have MS Project, so they can't open the original. Exporting to PDF puts it in a format that is difficult to read. The learning curve is quite steep; one always gets the feeling that they aren't truly using it to its potential. What business ...

It is easy to set up and as long as you link all of the items together in logical sequence you can see the critical path. What do you dislike? This program does not calculate calendar days, so it is hard to get a true schedule unless you show the non working days as working days so they get counted in the total number of scheduled days. Portfolio Management
What do you like best? The options for visually communicating information are varied and numerous. What do you dislike? It took some practice getting used to. There is certainly a learning curve. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? When we were re-structuring/ re-branding/ re-imagining this was a way to communicate easily the data each department gathered, and the result that incremental changes produced.
