Using this helped me complete my projects on time and in a detailed manner.

What do you like best? I liked the tools available to help me plan my calendar. I use it to assign personnel to different projects. What do you dislike? I dislike the transition from different projects because when it goes from different years' versions, sometimes the data will get jumbled. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Assigning personnel and not going over budget with the hours. Making sure we have allocated enough time ...

Microsoft Project Review

What do you like best? I'm a big fan of MS Project, primarily due to the many charts/graphs that are available. The Gantt chart functionality works well and the features are intuitive. Additionally, the key functions and presentation is consistent with other MS Office applications. I've not found a comparable project management software suite that is such a strong blend of simplicity and features. What do you dislike? There's a significant learning curves associated with the project, ...

Microsoft Project is a very useful tool for organizing and presenting information.

What do you like best? Microsoft Project can be easily integrated with other Microsoft products like Excel and Word. What do you dislike? Since it is a desktop application that is offline, the project data file is stored locally and must always be backed up by the user. Recommendations to others considering the product It takes some time to learn how to use the software, so watching a training video may help with the steep learning curve. What business problems are you solving ...

Project Coordinator

What do you like best? The integration between SharePoint and MS Project. Has the potential to create a very collaborative environment if the cloud is used. What do you dislike? It probably can do a lot more than how I've been trained to use it. Cannot use the integration with SharePoint and MS Project because it's web based and can pose security risks for the company. Therefore MS Project is primarily used for scheduling and WBS. Recommendations to others considering the product ...

Project Management, but only Project Management

What do you like best? Microsoft Project 2013 does what it does best, manages projects. It has gotten better with further integration with SharePoint (assuming you have the ability to integrate or use Project Server/Online and allows for a touch better of collaboration with OneDrive integration (add-ons can be used for other cloud based services. Another aspect that was nice was creating the resource pool and being able to estimate schedules and budgets more accurately. It will require ...

Great tool for managing large scale projects

What do you like best? Microsoft Project has been a standard for tracking projects of various sizes. The dependency chaining works quite well and helps visualize resource and task scheduling. Good for milestone tracking at a high level, while also designating resources to specific tasks. Fits well if you use a waterfall model. What do you dislike? With agile development taking more of a front seat, MS Project doesn't really lend itself to this type of model. You could easily use Excel ...

Very User Friendly, consistent with the MS Word UI

What do you like best? You are up and running in an hour, managing large scale projects. What do you dislike? It has limitations, and there is little choice in the layout of the project. Recommendations to others considering the product Get the word out that you can run it in the Cloud. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Managing IT projects. It's simple. Keep it Simple Stupid often applies.
