Useful, but maybe too complicated for our needs

What do you like best? I like that I am able to easily add tasks, and that there are a lot of ways that I can add and easily see details associated with the task. What do you dislike? I think Microsoft Project is a powerful tool, but it is one of those tools that I probably only use 10% of. Also, I wish it were easier to collaborate with other project leads. Right now it is difficult to see how deadlines match up across the schedules for different areas of the project. The merging of ...

Using Project to develop step-by-step project schedules and timelines

What do you like best? My favorite feature is the ability to automatically link tasks to each other. It saves time when creating a project schedule, and allows for simple edits to any point of the project lifecycle. If you change one line item deadline, it automatically changes the rest. I also love the ability to set custom working days/hours. What do you dislike? The software can be buggy and glitchy, and it's often difficult understand any rhyme or reason. I like to highlight ...

Recommendations to others considering the product This is best used when you have a large amount of numbers you need to calculate. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have ...

Complex but understandable

What do you like best? Our firm uses multiple tiers for project timing - staff type, schedule-based, and task-based. MS Project handles all of these well. However, make sure you invest in some education otherwise it can seem daunting. What do you dislike? It has a fairly decent learning curve. However, that can be overcome by classes early in the process (in addition to using the product Recommendations to others considering the product This product has worked well for us, helping ...

What do you like best? Ease of use, likelihood of others also familiar with program and ability to link other MS Office products to this one. What do you dislike? That other platforms are not receptive to being linked to this one... would be so much easier if this would work cross platforms... but thats only issue if you work with teams in several companies, etc i suppose.
