Excellent tool for planning
What do you like best? I liked the ability to be able to visualize when things would be started and completed, seeing the possible paths we could take, and considering alternatives. What do you dislike? I did not like that there were some features missing that would have improved the product. It is excellent that it is user friendly, but I would have appreciated some more options such as adding cost as a factor into time. If one option is more costly, but faster, is it better? ...

Project Manager using Project to schedule
What do you like best? This software is visually appealing for high level detail. It is easy to adjust bar colors, bold headings, summarize the overall schedule. What do you dislike? This software is easy to manipulate. You can make your schedule show exactly what you want very easily. Personally, I wouldn't consider this program a CPM tool. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are working on solving late deliveries and ...

Using Microsoft Project for senior design scheduling
What do you like best? The flexibility to schedule multiple activities and share activities with multiple individuals. What do you dislike? Sometimes it can be not super intuitive with how to utilize the program setting up your project. My coworker and I had to use some YouTube videos to learn how to use it rather than the help section. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We were using it for our senior design schedule. It worked ...

Overpriced Project Manager
What do you like best? I guess the fact that it was microsoft branded was the fact it was easy to bring everyone aboard and get them into the software. It made connecting with other members on a project super easy. What do you dislike? I disliked how every aspect of this software reminded me of Google Drive Recommendations to others considering the product I recommend checking out Trello, Google Drive, and literally any other tool that can connect multiple people. The problem with ...

Smooth
What do you like best? It simply works, that is the best thing you can say about any software. The interface is very intuitive, the underling system is powerful and it is easy to integrate with other systems. The simplicity of the system to work, control and follow your projects are deceptive in its abilities. What do you dislike? Nothing, just a bit more speed would be nice. Recommendations to others considering the product It does work and it does simplify the system of tracking ...

A comprehensive project management solution
What do you like best? It is highly scalable; anyone from a small company to the largest enterprise can use Microsoft Project. The Scheduling feature is key, allowing managers to define tasks, assign to different team members, and track their progress. We like the new web-based version although we have not yet had the opportunity to fully implement it with mobile devices. The new 2016 version did not require any new training for our users that were used to the 2013 version. Collaborative ...

Good ,but not the best
What do you like best? I have used MS Project and Primavera.MS Porject is a lot simpler if you just using activity schedule, resource list, and assignment details. Its easy defining complex formulas and assign the values to user-created column.Overall MS Project is good for someone who isn't doing project management all the time.Easier to learn. What do you dislike? There is a limit on baselines that you can create ,when compared with Primavera.MS Project has limitations since its not ...

Microsoft Project - is it worth it?
What do you like best? Microsoft Project being part of the Microsoft family is its best attribute. If you are already familiar with Word, Excel, etc then it is much easier to catch on. What do you dislike? Not necessarily the most user intuitive software, and there are similar options out there with a better interface. Microsoft Project seems clunky, but since it is part of the Microsoft family it is to be expected. What business problems are you solving with the product? What ...
