Great but only for a select few
What do you like best? This is a very POWERFUL tool. It works well and you can track many aspects of your project. You can do so much. Maybe too much What do you dislike? You have to have the specialty to use this software. It is very robust, but that can be to a a fault. If you are collaborating more than likely you are the ONLY one who knows how to use this software so therefore any natural collaboration or editing will not happen and it is only on you to do it. Microsoft Project Review
What do you like best? The ease of moving tasks around, while maintaining the original dependencies. The multiple views you can choose from. What do you dislike? How, if you have percentage complete filled in at all and have to move things around, shorten durations, etc., the dates won't adjust automatically. Also, while there is a way to assign deadlines, there is not a way to assign a deadline based off a different task, so manual calculations have to happen if your start date moves ...

Not a fan
What do you like best? When there are dependencies between tasks, the dates automatically shift when an adjustment is made to the timeline. I like that you can can assign someone to be accountable for each task and you can indicate the status of the task in terms of completion. What do you dislike? It takes a really long time to get set up and you need to know everything about the project timeline before you start inputting. It's not a tool to use when there are lots of adjustments ...

Best tool for the job
What do you like best? Capable of handling from simple to complex projects. Pretty simple and intuitive to use, fairly easy to get started but it does take a diploma to master all its features. What do you dislike? Would be great if it could be updated simultaneously by multiple people, in a shared repository. Also a bit difficult if required to share a project plan with people that do not have the software. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have ...

What do you like best? THe integration that Microsoft has built into the tool allowing you to easily share documents across applications and platforms What do you dislike? Sometimes the integration piece can go too far, if you don't plan well. You don't want too many cooks in the kitchen Recommendations to others considering the product You will get the most out of it if you do the up front work, which MS Project does a great job of helping you out with that part. I have done some ...
