Not a horrible project planning tool but not super functional
What do you like best? Comes with the office suite and is compatible with everything else on my desktop What do you dislike? Hard to set up - not very user friendly and since 2003 basically Microsoft has made their products less intuitive and user friendly - at least in my experience. What took me 1 click before now takes me 3-4 or I can't even find what I am looking for. I honestly prefer tracking on a spreadsheet to this for my projects. Sad but true. Recommendations to others ...

Industry standard for project managers
What do you like best? Lots of features required and desired for serious PMs, plays well with other MS tools like Sharepoint What do you dislike? Very heavy, has a learning curve, not as intuitive as some lighter weight project management tools Recommendations to others considering the product If you are a serious PM this is the tool to use, but not meant for non-pms and casual users.

Use it for every major project
What do you like best? Even with other dedicated project management tools, I always find myself falling back on MS Project for all of my project management. It is very robust and relatively easy to use (once you understand some of the core concepts with relations etc. What do you dislike? Some of the printing options are a little lame and my biggest annoyance is when I do one thing wrong & it screws up the whole project plan--but hey, that's why we back up, right? Recommendations to ...

A Must Have for Project Management
What do you like best? Full integration to entire MS Office suite. Easy to use and set up. Resource tracking. What do you dislike? Cost for individual license. Exporting charts, etc is not very clean. Recommendations to others considering the product Most PM's who are not using this tool should at least try it out.

Microsoft Finally updated Project
What do you like best? Project is a great product. It's very easy to use and allows you to manage all types of projects. From small to very large. It will allow you to integrate to other project management tools to keep your data in sync. As a project manager, I must say that project is one of the easier tools to use. What do you dislike? Sharing and exporting the Gantt chart isn't easy and takes formatting. It took Microsoft years to update project. Recommendations to others ...
