PPM - Its pretty OK
What do you like best? If you're in an environment that's already using MS Office, Project, or SharePoint, PPM is a pretty easy sell. Of course it will integrate well. What do you dislike? There are plenty of choices in the marketplace for project and portfolio management. For most organizations, MS PPM will be massively overkill. Recommendations to others considering the product Always, always hire an architect / consultant from the outside who has experience with setup. Our ...

Microsoft Project
What do you like best? Microsoft Project is the toolbox for every project manager. I wish it was available on Office365 and in a mobile format. What do you dislike? My Experience with Microsoft Project
What do you like best? I like MS Project because for a low cost solution, it is easy to use, and fairly detailed. What do you dislike? That it is not more user friendly, and that it relies on other outside software to function. It should be a 100% stand-alone solution. Recommendations to others considering the product If you get to a point to where you want to have more built-in features, I recommend that you look around a little. The problem with Microsoft is that they seem to ...

Experience Project Manager Using MS Project
What do you like best? I like how easy it is to move or update tasks in bulk. I also like how easy it is to create dependencies. What do you dislike? I hate the visualization of this product. The user interface and visualization of tasks could be so much prettier, simpler, and user-friendly. It is not easy to share project plans with others in a way that allows them to easily understand the plan or see a high-level, overarching timeline of the project. What business problems are you ...

MS-Project For Complex Products

In addition, for users coming from other platforms, the transition and switch is usually painless and relatively quick. An experienced project manager or assistant can learn Project sufficiently to operate its basic features with good competency within a month. What do you dislike? Since there is a very rich feature ...

Microsoft Project Planner is very handy and intuitive
What do you like best? The UI is very obvious while you enter the Project Tasks breakdown. I like the way it autocalculates the dates for each task and its very satisfying to see the final project delivery date it gives finally. What do you dislike? Sometimes, it is hard to gets the date right once you want to modify the existing Project Plan. You need to manually blank out the dates and then refill the latest dates in order to auto-calculate the timeline. Also the hard part is to ...
