"Difficult to get the hang of, but helpful once you've used it for a while."

What do you like best about Microsoft Access? Access allows me to create projects and lists that go a step beyond what I am capable of doing in Excel. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? I found it difficult to get the hang out Access and its features when first starting to use it. Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Access: Look for tutorials online to help you out at the beginning. What problems is Microsoft Access solving and how is that benefiting you? I don't use ...

"Out with the old"

What do you like best about Microsoft Access? Good tool to store a vast amount of data. You can easily search from any field so it makes finding older information easier than just trying to go through the files we have on paper. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? It crashes a lot. It is very outdated and there's too many error dings in my opinion. The lettering is too small and hard to look at after awhile. A lot of times the search does not work properly because of the bugs and ...

"Access: Creative or Detailed"

What do you like best about Microsoft Access? I like the ability to re-create Access into a colorful, visual tool. It's great for detailed databases, but you don't have to get bogged down in blacks, whites, and grays only. So, the user can be as creative as they want to be. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? I haven't used the latest, yet, but it used to be hard to create a CSV list for exporting. It would be nice if Microsoft would redesign the database to allow using individual ...

"Powerful easy to use database projgram"

What do you like best about Microsoft Access? Microsoft access makes it easy to create tables, views and forms to input or update data. The best feature that I use is connecting the database to a Sharepoint site. This allows me to edit Sharepoint data very easy and quickly. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? Storing databases locally is what I don't like much about it. When I store the access database on a network drive or Sharepoint site, the performance suffers. What problems is ...

"Easier DB management system for a beginner"

What do you like best about Microsoft Access? I like that it is easy to create macros and write VBA code in this. It's a great way to manage a database for someone coming from Excel. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? I feel that it is almost harder to navigate since I'm used to using more coding/querying heavy programs. Probably better for a beginner Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Access: This isn't great for large scale data management, but was still good for a ...

"It works great"

What do you like best about Microsoft Access? It allows me to organize and analyze data in a very efficient way, which makes creating reports a lot easier. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? It really needs to have a commands list that you can find easily and a simple guide that teaches you how yo use them, that would make the app more user-friendly. Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Access: This app is ideal for organizing data and with it, you can make simple and ...

My personal review.

PROS: The thing that I liked most with Access is making queries from a multiple tables. It'll give you access in making a customized report from info across tables. You can utilize its pre-installed wizard to offer a step-by-step guide or make it on your own. Basically, you're offered full control in grouping tables via a relationship. I love making my own reports and forms. CONS: One thing about Access is that it's not completely intuitive. It can overwhelm anyone who's not familiar or has ...

"Quality Relational Database"

What do you like best about Microsoft Access? Links directly with or imports data from from other databases. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? Not always the easiest application to use. It help to know macros. Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Access: Access is a quality front end of the program product to capture, share and query data. What problems is Microsoft Access solving and how is that benefiting you? Capture data and interact with other data with the ...
