"Standalone Robust Database Easily Scalable For The Enterprise"
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? I've been a database user since the early days of graphical interfaces. The first ones were implemented inside MS Excel, which I still use for fast registers of row/column data. But when it's necessary to build complex relational table, custom forms, and powerful back-end equations, my go-to is Microsoft Access. Access make column/row table setup simple. Casting datatypes using pulldown menus take most of the guess work out of typing the ...

"Perfect for too big for excel, too small for SQL Server projects"
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? MS Access allows you to create places to store data in an easily retrievable fashion, allowing multiple users and form views for display and data entry, reporting, and data analysis. Easily mitigable to SQL Server, as you continue to grow. I've turned many an Access database into a front-end for SQL Server. The Application looks and behaves like the other Office products, making it's introduction to new users fairly simple and straight ...

"Easy way to create simple database systems"
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? With Access I am able to quickly create simple database driven solutions with built in UI and reporting in one tool. Advanced coding is not necessary and the tool guides you through building out. Opponents for a robust, end-to/end product. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? Slightly inflexible if you are set in certain UI layouts and customized logic. Report layouts are also restrictive. What problems is Microsoft Access solving and how ...

"A decent visual database for light data storage"
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? I like that it can quickly be used for data storage and management. It's nice to have a visual representation of the data stored. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? Working with these databases from multiple computers at the same time has proven to have issues in my professional experience. Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Access: Don't use for heavy data storage or for high priority applications, but it's good for light ...

"Creating databases on Microsoft Access"
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? It’s an easy to use interface and allows people to use macros without knowing the code. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? It is not very versatile in its application. There is only so much you can do with the software. What problems is Microsoft Access solving and how is that benefiting you? I have created a database/ app with Access in the past. It has a simple user interface.

"Powerful Tool for Tech Savvy"
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? Microsoft Access is a very powerful tool that really requires advanced users to handle it. That would be not exactly a bad thing, because that way you know that whomever is handling important data in it, has sufficient knowledge to not break things down. Access is a power source to maintain logs of data, because it lacks all the pretty visuals that other applications use, this one is for what it is: store large amounts of data. Being able to ...

"Simple Small Business Database Solution"
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? Microsoft Access was the first database I used. We were basically a 4 person operation, but we tracked a lot of phone calls for health intake forms and claims processing. It was all that was needed for our small business needs. I liked how easy it was to navigate and provided an easy to see record of contacts. It was secure. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? Microsoft Access was not structured for connecting information between records ...

"Good tool to reference and analyze data quickly"
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? It's really easy to use and more powerful than Excel. It's far better than Excel when dealing with cross-references. I started using it more than 10 years ago when a vlookup crashed my machine and continue to use it to this day whenever something more complex than 100 rows is at hand or when I already created a template for my most used tasks. It is very easy to export from Excel to Access with just a few clicks and frankly for my job I don't ...

"At this time, there are more powerful solutions out there."
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? If someone has the know how to create the databases, Access is a powerful tool to handle your business' data. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? Learning how to begin, or how to build your first database is quite difficult. Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Access: Our organization is transferring over to Salesforce. I know they are not exactly the same, but Salesforce should handle everything we have been using Access ...
