What is ManageEngine AssetExplorer?
ManageEngine AssetExplorer is an IT asset management tool that discovers hardware and software across the network and tracks software licenses against entitlements, flagging over-deployment before it becomes an audit finding. It covers the asset lifecycle from purchase order through to disposal, manages contracts and renewal dates, and detects unauthorized or prohibited software on managed machines. It sits in the mid-market: less licensing intelligence than the enterprise SAM platforms, but considerably cheaper and quicker to stand up, and it integrates with ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus for teams already using the Zoho-owned ManageEngine suite.
