"Fast presentable renders and animations."

What do you like best about Lumion? Speed of final output, effect stack pre-sets, amount of objects, very easy to use. What do you dislike about Lumion? Price is quite steep, no custom rendering dimensions, no possibility to seperate faces to attach other materials/colors/textures, not easy to make animations from custom made objects, rain and snow also inside the models (no collision detection) Recommendations to others considering Lumion: If you want an easy to use standalone render ...

"Lumion finally makes Revit a useful design tool "

What do you like best about Lumion? Fast turn around! We are able to quickly review a complex design through animation and rendered stills. Within a matter of minutes we can see import, or use live update to better understand complex building geometries from the perspective of the ultimate building user. In addition to this, each night we run a multi-sequence walkthrough through the entire project. What do you dislike about Lumion? Some of the menu interfaces could be more intuitive, but ...

"Lumion in my workflow"

What do you like best about Lumion? Lumion is an easy to use architectural visualization software, but still extremely powerful and rock-solid. Especially since their latest upgrade, Lumion 8, the renders can compete with the best while still maintaining the extremely high render speed. An average high quality render, with all features on will take about a minute. With other software this will take hours. And no post-processing is needed! Lumion comes with an extensive library, and works ...

"100% productivity, 50% work"

What do you like best about Lumion? Lumion revolutionize the visualization process for the modern designers. Streamline the trickiest rendering elements such as landscape, water, and animated objects into a seamless, simple workflow. What do you dislike about Lumion? Further customization at the level of types of leaves, trunks, colors of flowers would be helpful. What problems is Lumion solving and how is that benefiting you? Working in landscape architecture, you get to now focus on your ...

" Amazing Renderings"

What do you like best about Lumion? The quality of renderings is amazing. The lighting, scale figures, and other special effects are great. I'm especially impressed with Lumion 8 and the interior preset for renderings. What do you dislike about Lumion? You can't change the material of just one plane, you have to change that one thing you missed in Revit or sketch up and reimport it. Also, the selection of scale figures are not the best or most diverse, and their faces are a bit creepy. What ...

"Impressive Visuals"

What do you like best about Lumion? I like the ability to created very vivid 3D images with absolutely beautiful visuals. I also like how ease it was to add and remove ideas with ease. Again the vividness of the picture and the many different options that were able to be used was pretty awesome. What do you dislike about Lumion? I wish that there was a scale tool to help with dimensions with glitchiness at times with camera movement. The ability to stop the camera is difficult at ...

"Quick Animation at superb result!!"

What do you like best about Lumion? The best about this software, you can't find any animation software that as quick and amazing as this Lumion. Since the beginning of it's existence, it's become more faster, easier and more detail result. Cover materials with leaves or add weathering, aging and transparency. Add light strips or area lighting, transform a wall into thousands of leaves or have ivy creeping from the ground up, all with the click of a button. What do you dislike about ...

"Fast way to get high-quality images, with some tradeoffs"

What do you like best about Lumion? Very easy to import a Revit or Sketchup model and almost instantly have a better looking rendered image. Many times we will throw a model into Lumion just to get a better look in true perspective and play with sun patterns, it's so quick to do that! The filters on the "camera" panel are also a great asset. We have set up a procedure to export those to Photoshop and quickly layer them to create renderings that are realistic, but still have softer edges, ...
