Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Loom has completely transformed the way I communicate with my team and clients. Instead of scheduling back-to-back meetings, I can now record concise, engaging video messages that my colleagues can watch on their own time. The ability to share my screen while adding narration and visual cues has been a game changer for clarity and productivity. I particularly ...Read more

Loom pros and cons

  • Loom is widely appreciated for its user-friendly interface that allows professionals to quickly record and share videos without technical barriers. Its Chrome extension, desktop, and mobile apps make screen and camera recording accessible from any device.

  • By enabling asynchronous video messaging, Loom helps organizations reduce the need for lengthy meetings, streamlining communication and boosting productivity across remote and hybrid teams.

  • Users benefit from Loom’s intuitive editor, which allows trimming, stitching, and adding visual elements like arrows, text, and overlays, resulting in more polished and engaging content.

  • The platform enhances engagement with built-in features such as emojis, comments, transcripts, and closed captions in over 50 languages, making global collaboration easier.

  • Since Loom is designed primarily for asynchronous communication, it lacks robust real-time collaboration features compared to platforms like Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

  • Free accounts often face restrictions on video length, storage, and advanced features, which may require teams to upgrade for more comprehensive use.

"Loom makes is so easy to share information!"

What do you like best about Loom? Loom is the easiest platform I've come across to share and show information via video with my clients. I've also used it showcase projects as part of my portfolio and I know for a fact it is part of the reason that I've booked a few recent projects. I love that Loom transcribes a brief overview of the dialogue. Loom's new feature that automatically separates your video in chapters is a game changer to keep things organized. I also love that you can leave ...

"Why Loom is the Obvious Choice"

What do you like best about Loom? Loom prioritizes user experience, making it incredibly fast and easy to just SHIP your thoughts. They have designed it very intentionally to make it seamless from recording to posting and sending. The moment you hit "Stop Recording" it opens the video, writes a title and description and allows you to copy the link with 1 more click. It's insanely well thought out. What do you dislike about Loom? The only downside about loom is that I often find myself ...

"Great tool for Sales and Training"

What do you like best about Loom? Loom is a great tool to add a personal touch to intereactions with our clients.
