Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Loom has completely transformed the way I communicate with my team and clients. Instead of scheduling back-to-back meetings, I can now record concise, engaging video messages that my colleagues can watch on their own time. The ability to share my screen while adding narration and visual cues has been a game changer for clarity and productivity. I particularly ...Read more
Loom pros and cons
Loom is widely appreciated for its user-friendly interface that allows professionals to quickly record and share videos without technical barriers. Its Chrome extension, desktop, and mobile apps make screen and camera recording accessible from any device.
By enabling asynchronous video messaging, Loom helps organizations reduce the need for lengthy meetings, streamlining communication and boosting productivity across remote and hybrid teams.
Users benefit from Loom’s intuitive editor, which allows trimming, stitching, and adding visual elements like arrows, text, and overlays, resulting in more polished and engaging content.
The platform enhances engagement with built-in features such as emojis, comments, transcripts, and closed captions in over 50 languages, making global collaboration easier.
Since Loom is designed primarily for asynchronous communication, it lacks robust real-time collaboration features compared to platforms like Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Free accounts often face restrictions on video length, storage, and advanced features, which may require teams to upgrade for more comprehensive use.

"Nearly flawless screen capture video app"
What do you like best about Loom? Love the agility of being able to grab a screencast vid., then have the view link literally instantly on my clipboard to paste. What do you dislike about Loom? Two things - 1. if they offerred a still screenshot feature it would allow me to finally let go of Snaggit. 2. The desktop version still doesn't reliably prompt us to choose which screen we want captured so I wind up having to restart and then manually designate which screen. A ...

"Amazing way to record work processes"
What do you like best about Loom? The tool is incredibly easy to use to capture how to do certain tasks so delegating is 100x easier. The Chrome extension is great but they now have a desktop application so you can literally record anything you need to. It's saved me and my team so much time because we document what we're doing when we're doing it so that the next time it needs to be done, anyone on the team can watch the video and follow along to complete the task. Not only do they see the ...

"Loom for client and team communication "
What do you like best about Loom? Loom is a great teaching tool! I use it with both my clients and team members. For example, when a client asks me how to perfrom a task I'll shoot over a Loom taking them through the steps. That way they can see my screen, and hear me explain what to do at the same time. What do you dislike about Loom? You are only allowed to have so many video recordings in free version. After that, you pay a monthly fee for the pro version. What problems is Loom solving ...

"Create short videos with Loom"
What do you like best about Loom? All my clips are arranged online in a pretty solid way. I only make short clips, although the system is available for making long ones, for tutorials or long demonstrations. When using Loom, it is very easy to submit video updates to consumers only by sending an instructional video, with no need to screensharing. To use it you just have to push the button to copy the link and send it to whoever you want. In general, I think the software is pretty good. What ...

"Share screenshot videos with Loom"
What do you like best about Loom? I only launch Loom with the plugin in the browser whenever I want to create a screenshot in form of video of a single window in Chrome. Once you begin to make clips, you are able to build directories and transfer videos related to those directories. Also, you are allowed to store up to 100 clips in your free of charge. What do you dislike about Loom? The audio and video editing rules are highly primitive and have no ability to name. Also, audio performance ...
