Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Loom has completely transformed the way I communicate with my team and clients. Instead of scheduling back-to-back meetings, I can now record concise, engaging video messages that my colleagues can watch on their own time. The ability to share my screen while adding narration and visual cues has been a game changer for clarity and productivity. I particularly ...Read more

Loom pros and cons

  • Loom is widely appreciated for its user-friendly interface that allows professionals to quickly record and share videos without technical barriers. Its Chrome extension, desktop, and mobile apps make screen and camera recording accessible from any device.

  • By enabling asynchronous video messaging, Loom helps organizations reduce the need for lengthy meetings, streamlining communication and boosting productivity across remote and hybrid teams.

  • Users benefit from Loom’s intuitive editor, which allows trimming, stitching, and adding visual elements like arrows, text, and overlays, resulting in more polished and engaging content.

  • The platform enhances engagement with built-in features such as emojis, comments, transcripts, and closed captions in over 50 languages, making global collaboration easier.

  • Since Loom is designed primarily for asynchronous communication, it lacks robust real-time collaboration features compared to platforms like Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

  • Free accounts often face restrictions on video length, storage, and advanced features, which may require teams to upgrade for more comprehensive use.

"Excellent Tool to Create Trainings!"

What do you like best about Loom? I've had a lot of success creating sales training using Loom! Some of my favorite features are being able to have your face in the video to make it more personal and having the ability to edit the videos you create. What do you dislike about Loom? I would love to see Loom add different size options for your picture/video since sometimes it can block parts of the video. Additionally, I'd like to see Loom add more accurate editing features to the videos. ...

"Loom Review"

What do you like best about Loom? What I like about Loom is the ability to screen record on a laptop What do you dislike about Loom? It is a bit difficult to make streamlined videos for Zapier triggers. The video takes a couple of seconds to start up & the pause option doesn't do much but makes the user start all over again. What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you? Training issues. Using loom makes it much easier to train remotely without always mocking up a locksmith ...

"I'm mad it took me so long to find this"

What do you like best about Loom? It has helped me systematize my workflow so much. My team is no longer reliant on me being there to show them how to do something and it was given me so much time back. What do you dislike about Loom? At the moment, I can't find a single thing about this product that I dislike. Everything works properly and fits all of my needs. I've never used it on the phone or even know if that's an option..but that's really it. Recommendations to others considering ...

"Best Screen recording application!"

What do you like best about Loom? Loom is very user-friendly and this also helps me to record videos at the same time capturing yourself through your camera. This is a really good screen recording. Notifications provided when the video is seen, as well as the ability for viewers to rate the video, are some of the additional features I find appealing. What do you dislike about Loom? There haven't been any thus far, but if there are, I'll be sure to let you know, and all of the features ...

"This is an excellent add-on!"

What do you like best about Loom? The best part of Loom is the convenience. I record videos for my students, and they can see my face and the instructions at the same time. What do you dislike about Loom? The only downside is the side of the video; it would be nice to make my face bigger or smaller at specific points in the presentation. What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you? It is way easier to give instructions to my students because they can see the actual project ...

"Teaching in the Future!"

What do you like best about Loom? I have used this many times to pre-record lesson material for my classroom, working wonderfully and smoothly. I have loved that I have been able to share what I am seeing on my screen and still have my face at the bottom of the screen; my SPED students must see a moving mouth and face to practice skills and listening while watching the lesson! What do you dislike about Loom? The only thing I have really struggled with is that it is difficult to share videos ...
