LogicMonitor pros and cons

  • Reviewers value monitoring across infrastructure, networks and servers in a single pane of glass.

  • An extensive datasource library and built-in sensors cover many technologies out of the box.

  • Customizable alerting, escalation workflows and dashboards are repeatedly praised.

  • The platform is easy to deploy and intuitive to use.

  • Some reviewers find pulling desired reports and adding devices tricky.

  • A few note a lack of certain out-of-the-box integrations like Okta and Google Workspace.

Great tool for monitoring the network of both small and large businesses

PROS: It’s a very powerful tool in many aspects. For instance, you can use the scripting feature to check any important information using any of your devices. Monitoring can also be done without requiring the attention of any agent and regardless of the geographical disparity of devices thanks to its global range. We also never miss important notifications and alerts because of the software’s SMS and email messaging features. Moreover, the UI is rich and intuitive plus it’s a cloud-based ...

Good cloud-hosted monitoring software

PROS: I like that it’s hosted in the cloud because it requires less work on our part since we don’t have to regularly check if the infrastructure is running. This is a better setup for us because when our infrastructure is down, we would know since LogicMonitor would notify us instead of the software not functioning. After all, it’s also down. The software also supports different types of platforms which makes it compatible with many of the devices we use. Not to mention that whenever we ...

Great integration support

PROS: I’ve worked with LogicMonitor software for two years and I can say it’s an amazing monitoring platform. It can discover devices automatically, configure various levels of alert, and grab important data sources. We have also created our very own data sources and we were able to smoothly integrate them into other metrics that do not necessarily involve the IT aspect of our business, which is neat. CONS: Some devices that we need monitoring are not completely supported by LogicMonitor. ...

"Truly Vendor Agnostic"

What do you like best about LogicMonitor? We struggled with finding a monitoring platform that was vendor agnostic. We had about 4-5 different device vendor types and LogicMonitor was able to pull them all in without a problem. What do you dislike about LogicMonitor? What I could see as a challenge is the overwhelming options available to customize. This isn't a bad thing; it is quite impressive the customizations available to create the desired dashboard. Every customer is different, so ...
