Great tool for project management, time tracking and more
What do you like best? We’ve been using Liquid Planner for the last 5 years now and I can say that we are now managing 100% of our projects with it. Building a platform like Potion is a lot of work in product design, marketing, development and customer support but Liquid Planner has been a huge help when it comes to managing our projects. Whether it’s dealing with our internal or customer projects, Liquid Planner (my guys call it LP) has been a huge help. We’re using only part of ...

Fully Featured, Expensive
What do you like best? This tool covered everything we needed and more - time tracking, reporting, templates for projects, multiple views, collaboration, visibility into peers and directs work. What do you dislike? Really a great tool, I understand it was quite expensive (~$50/user/month?) - so that seems like an anomaly amongst other seemingly comparable solutions. Recommendations to others considering the product: Very fully featured, but quite expensive. What ...

Useful for project management, although I don't take advantage of all the features
What do you like best? I like that you can easily direct comments to specific people. However, you are able to keep all comments in a specific place so that it is easily searchable and you can look through the history, as opposed to an email chain, in which certain emails might not be accessible to all. I also like that things are organized by project, so that it makes it easier when you need to go back and look for an old comment or project. What do you dislike? The search ...

Slightly Overwhelming, Ultimately Comprehensive
What do you like best? Provides comprehensive time tracking for small to large projects for unlimited numbers of clients, with good reporting visuals as well as full spreadsheet exports. What do you dislike? Despite the designers best attempts, it can be pretty overwhelming when working with a large number of projects. It's perhaps best when focused on three or four projects at once, rather than working on a wide range of on-going projects and tasks. Recommendations to others ...

Robust Software, Not Always User Friendly
What do you like best? Calendar features allows users to see, at a glance, what projects they're scheduled for on which days. Makes advance planning a breeze. System to clearly identify projects that will not be completed by deadline is helpful for realigning staff and project timelines. What do you dislike? No repeating task feature. Often our tasks are repeated daily, weekly, monthly, etc. and each has to be created uniquely. These types of repeating tasks do not work well ...

Good Product - Mandates you work like it thinks you should
What do you like best? Perhaps unironically, what is the best and the worst part of LiquidPlanner is is rigid adherence to it's method of tracking and reporting on projects. I started using LiquidPlanner in an environment where I was trying to get everyone moving in the same general direction from an disorganized mess of project management -- and move us out of spreadsheets. What do you dislike? The rigidity of the system is both it's strength and it's weakness. If you can ...

Simple to use once you get used to it
What do you like best? It's great for keeping track of tasks and projects, that's mainly what I use it for. Also like the ability to upload documents to a central place for everyone to review. What do you dislike? Learning curve was pretty steep. I know they have tutorials and whatnot, but even with those it took a few months to really get the hang of it. Even now though, I'd say we still aren't using it to its full potential. Recommendations to others considering the product: ...

Great for Project Management, not so much for Marketing
What do you like best? Great way to duplicate tasks and see projects from an overview standpoint as a project manager. What do you dislike? From a marketer standpoint, it's difficult to keep track of the tasks, there isn't an easy way to see tasks listed out. Also the way it shows priority items is different from other platforms. The learning curve for this product is quite high. Recommendations to others considering the product: Take time to learn about the product and ...

Agile Project Management Solution
What do you like best? I like the ability to have ranged estimates rather that single point estimates for tasks. There are also robust analytics and dashboard capabilities with new features being added regularly. It also supports a variety of project management styles, both waterfall and agile, though it is better optimized for agile. It also has a variety of views which are useful across role-types, including a card view, a project view, a list/work view. What do you dislike? ...

Project Management software for the 21st Century
Don't look at the price,,close your eyes and take the plunge..YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED BY THE APPLICATION OR THE COMPANY BEHIND IT...Both are fantastic...The application is REALLY useful where you are trying to manage teams that are remote and where you are trying to minimise email traffic.
