Disappointed with Customer Service
I began a month long trial on Thursday Oct 1. On that day a customer wanted to return an item he bought on a CC. After several attempts to refund his CC I called tech support. I was informed CC's can only be refunded the day after due to batching. Ok no problem, Friday morning attempt to refund the CC again. After several more attempts I call tech support. I find out that this transaction was a debit card and the card must be present to issue the refund. I make arrangements for the customer ...

Lots of Potential... hard to get needed changes made.
Lightspeed Retail (Cloud) has a lot of potential when paired with the Web Store. It's frustrating when simple enhancements/fixes either never get addressed or take over a year to fix. For example: on the web store, showing the slashed regular price and a sale price isn't available. It's approaching 2 years and that simple feature is still not addressed. A reported bug took about 10 months to address and fix. So if you are looking at Lightspeed and don't see a feature, chances are it will be ...

Disappointed to say the least
I can't speak about how it may be to use Lightspeed as your only back end and POS system. I chose and implemented Lightspeed because I was informed that it could sync inventories and work with Shopify (my website platform). Their API had not been functioning for months now and I've been unable to use the system I spent hundreds of hours implementing and a couple thousand dollars. They've done very little to help me and it's been the most frustrating experience I've ever had professionally. ...

I would leave if I didn't lose 4.5 years of data!
I have been terribly disappointed with LightSpeed over the past 3 months. More outages, slow speeds and lost features than I care to remember. Let me name a few... 1. Down time for hours (500 errors) during peak sales periods causing loss of sales and disappointed customers. 2. Removal of features such as graphs of sales by hour/day/month and report showing oldest products in stock. 3. Complete deactivation of API causing frequently used features needed for business operation to be shut ...

Kindness
This company is committed to make you feel total comfort using the point of sale. When you call them it is always a pleasure for them to help you learn or find something in the system my. I highly recommend them based on the people and the product.

Ultra Responsive & Friendly
What set Lightspeed apart from other POS solutions was: 1) how fast they responded to our inquiries, setup demos and put us in touch with other customers; and 2) the many types of inventory. We absolutely had to have serial number and assembly. Box logic was icing on the cake. We are on a first name basis with the support team because we enjoy talking with them and want their opinions on process. They're also great at helping us figure out how to solve problems (that we made) and work ...

Yikes
Weekly issues of some sort. Frequent, intermitent down-time without warning. Extremely week webstore. If you are selling crocheted blankets out of your house, it's great. If you are trying to run a multi-location, multi-channel, multi-million dollar retail business, it falls short.
