We used QuickBooks POS for years and when it was time to upgrade we went with REVEL based on their recommendation, NOT a good choice. The system didn't do many of the things that we had specifically asked for and was not a good transition for our retail shop. And so we began our research into a new POS system. An Outstanding company and a powerful Point of Sale System. We run a one location bicycle sales and repair shop in NJ. For the past 10 years we used Microsoft Dynamics Point of Sale. EXTREMELY POOR ECOMMERCE SYSTEM
EXTREMELY POOR ECOMMERCE SYSTEM! We used LS Retail for about 2 years before making the jump to join Ecom last year. No complaints on the retail side. It did just what we needed it to do for our small boutique. We thought Ecom would be an easy and seamless way to get our shop online and managing inventory would be easy since the two systems are connected. Lightspeed is powerful. More than the last two POS i used
So decided to open the coolest concept in Downtown El Paso. A bike boutique cafe. So Podium Finish Sport Boutique & Cafe was born. Our first week we used spreadsheets ( dont ) Then we signed up for shopkeep. ( dont ) shop keep is a small point of sale that has no versatility. Stay away from Lightspeed eCom
While Lightspeed eCom lists a bunch of interesting features, it is still a very immature platform that is not worth the price for now. Many of its features are bugged or incomplete, and the rest are hidden behind monthly pay walls. Want a good theme ? It's 25$ / month. Want to sync your newsletter subscribers with Mailchimp ? It's 7.50$ per month. Want to limit coupon uses for certain products, categories or customers ? That's 140$-200$ per month (seriously!!). These things are all free ...

Solid B for the Product, A+ for Support
First, their support is top notch. Very knowledgeable, easy to reach (longest hold so far is 20 minutes), and always follow up. On the product, starting to feel as if all they care about is eComm and going international. Their existing customer base seems to be forgotten. Many features, especially reporting are inconsistent and feel incomplete.
