Ongoing Quest for Excellence

What do you like best? Simplicity with a common look and feel across the platform. Ongoing commitment from Photoshelter to keep listening and developing. As a company they have the desire to keep innovating and supporting their clients so that we can provide professional service to our clients. What do you dislike? Would like the ability to set permissions at asset level rather than just gallery and workspace level. Allow templates for metadata to be saved. Allow comments in ...

Photoshelter Review

What do you like best? The tagging and the ability to organize photos and media. What do you dislike? No real dislikes. Our team did realize that we didn't need such a large-scale service. Maybe if we were Coca-Cola, not a government agency. Recommendations to others considering the product: Make sure that you have everyone on the same page when tagging photos and other media. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Organizing our ...

Great cloud software

What do you like best? We love the cloud aspect of it, especially now during the pandemic. What do you dislike? Getting started was really difficult because we have a huge existing library. It was a painful FTP process. Recommendations to others considering the product: Be sure to plan enough time to get started. Getting all of our existing library switched over was a major ordeal. After we got that done, it's been great to use and easy to add photos and videos as we go. What ...

it's good

What do you like best? the ability to search images and the indesign extension What do you dislike? The search on the indesign app is lacking. but the main problem is that the indesign extension is incompatible with inCopy, so for us who work a team with copywriters the indesign extension is useless if the copy writers can't see the images linked What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? time saved searching images on the web based platform

Libris Limitations

What do you like best? the tagging, management of photos, with powerful tools What do you dislike? Frankly, the interface sucks. "Galleries" "Collections" and "Lightboxes" are an entirely new vernacular for most marketing teams to wrap their heads around. It causes unnecessary confusion and problems with asset management. Recommendations to others considering the product: Compare features, ask questions for your use and best fit, compare investment What problems are you ...

Libris has a very intuitive interface and is great for managing large amounts of images

What do you like best? I like the organizational aspect of Libris, and how you are able to create lightboxes and share them with others. I also like that it can be integrated with design programs. What do you dislike? Perhaps I just haven't figured it out, but it would be great to be able to select multiple photos (thumbnails) and download, instead of downloading one by one. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It allows for easy ...

Easy to use interface, very great for public or private collections.

What do you like best? That we can have publicly available collections as well as private collections. I like the search and indexing function as well, as it makes it nice for larger collections of photos and images. What do you dislike? There is nothing I dislike about PhotoShelther for brands. Recommendations to others considering the product: It's a great tool, and definitely worth the investment. There are other free options, but the support in PhotoShelter is definitely ...

Flexible Asset Management Solution That Meets Our Needs

What do you like best? The system is easy to use and the implementation team was very helpful in guiding us through the purchase. What do you dislike? We implemented the Libris product during a transition time for Photoshelter. During that transition, several licensing changes were made and it was difficult to manage the scope and cost of our implementation. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Our Marketing/Communications team was ...

Photoshelter is the premier centralized asset management platform for content creators

What do you like best? Everything is one one place for all of our visual needs. It's a our photo storage hub with an efficient search system; it's our platform for sharing with media, fans and other external uses; and its leadership and team are constantly open-minded and willing to work with other creative services to integrate and improve their product and others for the benefit of content creators. What do you dislike? Nothing that I can think of, to be honest. Recommendations ...
