"Use Caution"

What do you like best about LanSchool? I love being able to see what my students are working on at a glance. It is very helpful when I am helping other students, I can always look at my screen and make sure everyone is on their lessons and are not being side tracked by music videos or movies. What do you dislike about LanSchool? I teach at a discipline school and students are not allowed to listen to music or watch videos or movies on youtube or any other website. Unfortunately, LanSchool ...

"Great Admin Tool"

What do you like best about LanSchool? Monitoring students with LanSchool is easy and even fun, why should admins not have fun too? Preventing behaviour is much better than punishing and with LanSchool I get to be the lifeguard of the sea of digital information. Quick installs of other software is a breeze and communication in the classroom is enhanced greatly. Screenshots are extremely valuable in discipline situations and are irrefutable. Being able to see every desktop in the Tech ...

"Great Pfoduct"

What do you like best about LanSchool? Other companies try to wow you with their product then you see their price and takes your breathe away. Lanschool offers the same stuff for fraction of the price. What do you dislike about LanSchool? Have to build your own report server as other companies will include it. Recommendations to others considering LanSchool: They been doing this for years and cost is better! What problems is LanSchool solving and how is that benefiting you? To be able to ...

"Best Computer Management Software"

What do you like best about LanSchool? I love this software. It is easy and so helpful to teaching in a computer lab. What do you dislike about LanSchool? I am having a bit more issues with back screens and being unable to control some machines at the teacher station, but I am sure that is just a minor bug. What problems is LanSchool solving and how is that benefiting you? I can keep students (seventh and eighth grades) on task, see what they are accessing and make sure they are doing ...

"Teachers helper"

What do you like best about LanSchool? I love that I can control what students see, can have them share their screens for demonstrations to the class, and can redirect those that are offtask. What do you dislike about LanSchool? Sometimes the program will freeze, and if I have a large group it is hard to see specifics of what is on each screen. Recommendations to others considering LanSchool: This is a big help in the classroom when dealing with students using technology. I would recommend ...

"Effective oversight solution for 1:1 devices in the classroom"

What do you like best about LanSchool? I love having the ability to see all screens, to share a screen to all, to white list or blacklist sites for a specific class, I can't even tell you all the great features. More details below! What do you dislike about LanSchool? I'm still not sure how to create class lists for different classes, but I know it is possible. FOrtunately, my lab has 35 desktop computers so I don't need to switch class lists, but our other teachers will need this. I'll be ...

"My favorite tool for Computer Lab Management"

What do you like best about LanSchool? LanSchool gives me the control I need to make my classroom work while being engaged and focused on assignments, it has highly improved my students work and scores. Also, the fact that I can screenshot my student's activity was a great tool for discipline and parent's conference. It helped a lot when small children from primary classes came to practice their own programs like I-Station, because LanSchool has helped me to log students at once, that saved ...

"I like Lan School"

What do you like best about LanSchool? I like being able to see what the kids are on and bring up their screen. I also like being able to freeze their screens. I like being able to limit what websites their own because they always try to get on gaming site or sites that are inappropriate. What do you dislike about LanSchool? I find it was difficult to keep up with updating classes as I teach three classes of six, three classes of seventh, and three classes of eighth grade. It was a bit of a ...
