The user interface leaves a little to be desired What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We needed to allow business owners to manage their sections of the website and/or build out microsites. Previously, everything in the organization had to run through IT.

Fantastic CSM

What do you like best? As a semi-technical, non developer - Kentico enables me to run all sorts of marketing functionality. What do you dislike? Such an amazing tool, but is quite expensive. Annual maintenance fees add up real quick in addition to expensive up front costs. Recommendations to others considering the product Take a look at WordPress and Umbraco, then get an in-depth demo with Kentico. If you only need minor, infrequent, or low maintenance web changes, then it may not make ...

Kentico is an amazing and responsive Content Management System

What do you like best? The ease to which content producers can use the product. We can have non-technical users updating websites in no time and they love the ease of use. What do you dislike? The complications of setting up web farms have made us use Akamai for redundancy. It also takes a bit of a learning curve to understand how to setup the environment. Recommendations to others considering the product A robust and highly usable content management system. It is one of the content ...

Excellent content management system for mid-size businesses - under certain conditions

What do you like best? Kentico straddles the middle ground between systems such as WordPress or Drupal that offer only basic core functionality but can be rapidly enhanced through plug-ins (of which there are many and higher-end tools such as SiteCore that can support massive online operations but that require significant developer resources to manage effectively. Kentico, meanwhile, provides a variety of useful features out of the box, such as workflow and marketing automation, at a ...

Kentico is great!

What do you like best? Kentico CMS is so easy to use. Very intuitive navigation, easy to input content as a "layperson" as I'm not a designer or developer, I'm a marketing person and easiest I've ever used! Love it. What do you dislike? The only thing I don't like and I shared this with the Kentico team is that the input for SEO elements is so buried! Should be a top level feature so it can't be forgotten. Recommendations to others considering the product Love it! I've been in digital ...

A Flexible, Reliable, and Well-thought-out CMS

What do you like best? The admin interface is better than those of other CMS platforms I have used in the past, such as an older (2009 version of DotNetNuke. The intuitive layout makes it easier to devolve content management tasks onto less-technical coworkers. The Kentico E-commerce module is intended to work as a self-contained online store system. What do you dislike? It would be useful if Google E-commerce Analytics were a simple plug-and-play integration; as it was, this integration ...

What do you like best? The ease of use. I can login into a CMS desk from anywhere, even on my phone and make timely updates to my site. What do you dislike? I think the email functionality could be better. Recommendations to others considering the product Better training guide/support work on the EMS features. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We've created and manage several sites in Kentico instances. It makes it easy to teach ...

Best CMS I have never used

What do you like best? The simplicity of the concept. The ability to manage absolutely everything on it. The idea than you can always go back to c# to write your own code, and use it inside Kentico. The SUPPORT. The 1 week bug hotfixing. What do you dislike? After deploying it, the first load can be sometimes too slow, but this is not a Kentico issue, it is more an .net issue. Recommendations to others considering the product Learning curve take some time, but after you've learned, ...

Great product

What do you like best? We've been using Kentico CMS desk to create an internal extranet for our franchise system. Easy to use on the back end and front end. What do you dislike? At times things are slow to load, but that could also be on our end. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Communicate to a large number of people around the world by sending email blasts to selected groups, forums for them to communicate with each other as ...
