Best IDE for Java. Period

What do you like best? I switched from eclipse to IntelliJ. At that time I was more curious about what’s the fuss about. Now I can never go back. Best thing about Intellij is context sensitive behavior. Like it has some kind of brain of its own. What do you dislike? I wish plugin development was easier. Especially the plugins with UI forms. This might be because of a lack of skill at my end, but still Recommendations to others considering the product I do recommend IntelliJ for ...

What do you like best? I like how we can create different type of projects like Groovy, Kotlin, J2EE, Android all in one IDE. Also I like the debugger and support for syntax of JS or HTML files. What do you dislike? Nothing much to dislike but I think the builds times are slow and time taken to start the application is rather long. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Creating applications with core Java, Spring Boot , Hibernate ...

I had used Eclipse once before starting a Java development role and never got the hang of it. However, I quickly got the hang of IntelliJ and was able to ramp up extremely quickly. What do you dislike? The unintuitive and lack of messages around changing or adding Maven repositories. I could ...
