As far as Java IDEs I love this IDE very well thought out.
What do you like best? The Debugging ability and how it actively shows you variables and their respective values while debugging. As well as the extensive ability to adjust how the IDE to your formatting style. What do you dislike? The default placement of the bottom windows like terminal and run are a little shaky. Great toolbox for Coldfusion devs. It's overlooked.
What do you like best? I used IDEA for a long time for Coldfusion. The nice thing about it is that it supports opensource railo as well as Adobe CF solutions. Major vcs Git, SVN, etc.. and ftp for manual deploys supported. Loved that. Plus the ability to move on to other languages out of the box is huge. I also use WebStorm, IDEA's little bro.. but once you're ready to move on to IDEA to cover it all.. do it. You'll never look back. What do you dislike? The config can be a little ...
