Robust, quite good UI, extensive and mature Java eco-system support, continuously evolving

What do you like best? It's a mature and robust platform. Compared to my previous IDE it has a much cleaner UI, with minimum use of pop-ups, and minimal collapsible panels to make the best use of screen space. The support for the Java eco-system is great. I've used it with Struts, Spring, Guice, JUnit, Spock frameworks and really enjoyed the IDE integration. Dev tools like Maven, Gradle, Git are well supported. What do you like best? Very solid product, plug-ins work with each other well, you feel it's a product, not bunch of open source hacks. Comes in two editions: Community and Ultimate. Ultimate is worth its price, but if you like simpler product. not over featured with plugins which you might never care about -- you might use Community for free. It is still a very powerful tool. What do you like best? I like that it understands all types of different languages and frameworks and helps you in almost any situation. The plug-in auto-detection is very practical. The fact that you can run stored procedures directly from the files they are in is another nice feature. What do you like best? Grate IDE for Java/JS development. Ultimate version works terrific if you need to work with Spring, Hibernate, JS frameworks like Angular, Polymer, Bootstrap, etc... . What do you like best? The simplicity of use. I get to enjoy the same feature-set with minimum configuration on every platform I like, and it looks so polished and well-designed. What do you like best? I like the inspections and refactoring, and the auto-completion suggestions save a lot of typing. It is easy to take it for granted that IntelliJ runs on a Windows PC as well as a Mac, but this is a critical aspect for me.
