Easily the best IDE i've used

What do you like best? No matter what type of file, language, or framework I try, IDEA always has some form of support for it. It has an impressive default featureset, and is incredibly expandible with both vendor and community supported plugins for virtually anything I need to do. What do you dislike? It can sometimes feel a little bloated, mainly from high RAM usage. Different plugins are often to blame, and it can be difficult to diagnose which plugin I'm using is actually at fault. ...

What do you like best? The auto complete features are far better than Eclipse. No more OOM crashes. Auto-save saves time. Easy adding support for most upcoming language and tools. Once you enter the ecosystem of Intellij, Webstorm and CLion are great for cross platform development with easier learning. They are also offering Kotlin as a new language. What do you dislike? What do you like best? Indexing is fast with IntelliJ, I like the shortcuts too What do you dislike? Browsing thru functions can be improved. It doesn't support lot of external libraries. IntelliJ is the cleaner and lighter Eclipse

What do you like best? Its the cleaner and lighter form of Eclipse. Even though Eclipse has large number of integrations, at times it can be a lilttle too much and has significant impact on performance. IntelligJ overcomes all those issues. What do you dislike? Not many forums discussing the issues and solutions. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Mainly use it as a IDE for java projects.

Great IDE

What do you like best? IntelliJ is quite easy to use. It has good tools for refactoring. Code completion works great. It's easy to hop around in the code. It feels complete and professional. What do you dislike? Fullscreen mode can result in weird behavior on OS X when dialogs pop up. The dialog can appear below the main window, and it receives focus (so I can't click in the main window, but I can't see the dialog.
