The best IDE that I've ever used

What do you like best? It is very flexible and supports all of the languages that I program in on a daily basis. The indexing of large (Maven based projects is relatively fast. I'm a full stack developer too, so the ability to use it for both Java based projects, and Javascript based projects is very convenient. What do you dislike? Occasionally there will be an update released that results in issues with the project indexing and related memory leaks, but for the most part I like ...

Android Development with IntelliJ

What do you like best? Of the IDEs I've used, IntelliJ probably offer the most number of great bells and whistles that make developer life much easier. Amongst my favorites are refactoring tools, find usage, optimize import, step-through debugging, syntax highlighting, error reporting, etc are all things I can't do without. Since I develop for both Android and iOS, I also like to do the comparison between IntelliJ and Xcode, and I would have to give the award to IntelliJ for the best ...

Excellent

What do you like best? It is pretty straight forward to use and it is very complete. Contains a lot of plugins to use of a wide range of tools, like database connections, code completion, several framework supports, good debugging tools. What do you dislike? You need a good computer to use it properly, without worrying about performance you need at least 6 gb of rams to use with other applications opened. It works with less than that but sometimes gets a little heavy. What business ...

Great IDE

What do you like best? Frankly, everything. IntelliJ is the best IDE available for development on Java and other JVM languages. IntelliJ provides you with 3 themes, plugins for virtually anything you may need, an SDK for making plugins, tons of customization ranging from custom color schemes to custom key mappings. Best Static code analysis, seamless VCS integration and autocompletion. This all is just the tip of the iceberg. Believe me, once on intellij, you'll never ever need to read ...

Community support that is hard to come by

What do you like best? I love the extensions and keyboard shortcuts. The refactoring tools make me feel at ease when it comes to working in a large codebase. What do you dislike? There can be a lot of configuration you might need to do in order to get a good baseline for a legacy project. Recommendations to others considering the product Learning the keyboard shortcuts will take you a long way as a developer in general. What business problems are you solving with the product? What ...

The best tool I have

What do you like best? I fell in love from the first time I used it. No other tool I use. Is perfect, for me and all people I was recommended it. Try it, you will not regret at all. All languages you know, it will also know. It is user friendly. What do you dislike? A little heavy from my point of view. It takes a lot to load, and if you are working with more than one project at the same time there is a little lag. Recommendations to others considering the product Yes, of course. Try ...
