Great for Selenium testing!
What do you like best? I love the intellisense the most here. Since I'm writing automation and using a page object model, my actual tests are very simple to put together since the app itself can guess 90% of the time which variables I'm about to use. What do you dislike? Dislike that adding plugins is hidden behind the paywall. Feels a little expensive. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Needed a good java compiler that supported ...

IntelliJ IDEA Obsoletes any other IDE I've ever used
What do you like best? When I started Java programming, the standard IDE was eclipse. So that's what I used. I wasn't able to get very good at using eclipse. Maybe if someone had told me that the code completion wasn't context sensitive, I would have been better at it. But context-sensitive completion is something that is core to IntelliJ IDEA and has boosted my productivity immensely. Other awesome features which have made a difference to my productivity are instant code review, automatic ...

A lot of features at the cost of not being lightweight
What do you like best? Coming from an Eclipse background, IntelliJ as a product seems more polished. There are many, many plugins for Scala, Go, etc. and they seem to be of good quality. Fewer crashes than Eclipse. What do you dislike? There are a lot of configuration items and it can be confusing in that respect. The tool seems very "heavy" and takes a lot of resources. Recommendations to others considering the product It is worth the move from Eclipse if you have ever had Eclipse ...

My favorite IDE for a long time
What do you like best? IntelliJ is the most mature IDE I've ever used. It offers plugins for almost every tool and programming language I use in my software development cycle. It's the best Scala editor available and has strong refactoring support. I really like that there is a keyboard shortcut for everything. It also has a good Vim plugin which allows me to keep my hands on the keyboard. The IDE is frequently updated with videocasts and screenshots of the new features. Whenever I've had ...

I like IntelliJ IDEA

Great IDE
What do you like best? IntelliJ IDEA is impressive when developing software and I use it every day. The IDE provides a lot of useful tools that are needed to build software with high-quality standards. It also provides many automatic tools that allow saving time when debugging or deploying an application. What do you dislike? So far the only thing I don't like is the high consumption of memory when running the IDE. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits ...
