IntelliJ IDE review
What do you like best? I like doing development in IntelliJ as it is a very sophisticated IDE. It has plugins available to solve for every new framework out there. I love how you can execute command line from within IntelliJ. I also love integration with databases from within this IDE. it also allows for easy setup of version control and almost never dies on you. What do you dislike? Code coverage ability can be improved. Today I have to configure at what level i need the coverage. I ...

Great once you learn it
What do you like best? All the basics are readily available and it is easy to get set up and going. If this is your first IDE learning it will be easy, switching from Eclipse, there will be some hurdles, and some things that just aren't the same at all. What do you dislike? The way it handles multiple projects at once is not ideal, and could learn from Eclipse. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? This question doesn't really apply. ...

Lots of features
What do you like best? Lots of tools and features, especially autocomplete, code exploration, and local version tracking. and generally does all that much more behind the scenes and faster than Eclipse. Supports a huge number of languages and other tools such as git, xdebug, babel, etc. There's also a lot of room for configuration. What do you dislike? Configuring the project structure is confusing and difficult, i.e. for how to treat different files. What business problems are you ...

Good quality IDE
What do you like best? The overall stability and it doesn't feel to be working with a heavy and slow IDE. It uses a good indexing system that makes the search of files and contents very quick and easy. What do you dislike? Nothing in particular to dislike about this tool. Recommendations to others considering the product This tool can be used with every language (Javascript, python, plain bash. My recommendation is to definitely adopt it if you are working on a Java project (which is the ...

Great IDE
What do you like best? I like how it intelligently refactors, completes expressions and looks good whilst doing it. On the fly imports are a bonus too. The ease of creating a maven / gradle build followed by smooth VCS integration is what sold it to me. What do you dislike? Project management can sometimes be a bit convoluted. Certain plugins are difficult to use. The UX is sometimes difficult to find certain things but you can see they have made efforts to alleviate this. ...

Powerful yet Simple IDE
What do you like best? Simple setup for debugging. Easy to use linter plugins. Intuitive and modifiable keyboard shortcuts. Works with a variety of languages. Solid syntax highlighting. What do you dislike? IDE feels heavy at times. Reindexing is slow. Costs Money. Settings can be hard to navigate. Would be nice if there were more customizable UI features (i.e., using UI plugins to change appearance can be difficult. Recommendations to others considering the product Ask yourself how ...

Development of J2EE Application with IntellijIDE
What do you like best? I like the way it supports the wide range of plugins. Plugins that I use are Version Control Integration, MVN integration, VIM integration On other note, it has community edition as free IDE. So beginnier users can try out the free community version without making any payments. Even though the free version doesn't have plugin support for spring and gwt, web applications can still be built in it using the plugin for MVN. I found Debugging really easy in ...
