"Nice for generated graphics"

What do you like best about Inkscape? I like Inkscape for dozens of SVG filters and effects. out of the box. It is great for visual experiments and working with random generated graphisc, processing, etc. Similar tools in Adobe Iluustrator available only as commercial plug-ins. I keep Inkscape installed on my Mac because of this advantage.

"Good for students (too)"

What do you like best about Inkscape? It was the first vector graphic software I worked with, ("worked" sounds too professional, I was playing around, learning) years ago. It was small, easy to access. I liked the 3D style shapes featured among the regular ones.
