Sometimes a sites security blocks recordings and I don't realize this will happen until its too late Recommendations to others considering the product: Hotjar is a great tool - very easy to use and provides great insights! Great Visibility into User Behavior on Your Site

What do you like best? Hotjar shows amazing heat maps of your site that highlight what customers are engaging with. You can see how customers engage on desktop, mobile and tablet and adjust as needed. Plus, you can create surveys through Hotjar to get even more feedback from customers. What do you dislike? There's nothing I really dislike about Hotjar except that it sometimes hurts to see that customers aren't engaging with your site the way you wanted. What problems are you ...

Love the heat maps and video recordings!

What do you like best? I use Hotjar to analyze all the webpages on our site. It gives us the right metrics to understand visitor behavior, drop-offs and derive a solution. Once we publish a webpage, we straightly go to Hotjar and analyze the page. That's how it works for us. Our go-to tool to analyze our website behavior. What do you dislike? I haven't seen any downsides to using Hotjar as yet. I totally like using Hotjar. What problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Add real user experience data into your web analysis

What do you like best? Heatmaps of your web pages show you interactive elements, clicks, and a scroll map, letting you know how far users are going down on your page, and what elements they are clicking on. What do you dislike? Setting up funnels is monotonous and only linear. I wish there was a way to set up a variety of paths and overlaps to see how they interact. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you are involved in any sort of user experience ...

Excellent Freemium Tool for User Action on Your Websites

What do you like best? The full feature offering is excellent, including data and analysis on page heatmaps, real visitor recordings, funnel conversions (at each step), forms, polls, and surveys. The freemium model is great; the free option includes plenty of data and near-complete functionality for a small business or a new startup. What do you dislike? The heatmaps are sometimes inaccurate, especially if you have any lightboxes or other pop-ups on page. Recommendations to ...

Nice addition to reporting

What do you like best? Visually, it's easy to consume, and a nice supplement to any standardized site reporting What do you dislike? It's very basic, and there's not much detail you can glean out of the box What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We've been able to see a few gaps in our user experience where individuals expect a click for example and have modified our functionality accordingly

Useful tool at a reasonable price point

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? User polls and surveys are easy to set up and run, allowing you to quickly gather actionable insights. The 'exit intent' survey is particularly useful, catching users as they leave your site and letting you ask whether they found what they needed. A good range of features are available out of the box, and if you have a relatively low-traffic site you may never need to upgrade to the paid versions. What aspects are problematic or ...

Strong to poll

What do you like best? Great tool to create integrated polls and to record video sessions to better understand our customers. What do you dislike? Would be great to access more options in regular surveys such as the ability to rate options from 1 to 5 in a table with multiple columns and lines. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Trigger onsite polls on a specific page to specific targets and use session replay

Discover What Your Web Visitors Think

What do you like best? My team was able to set up questions on a broad range of topics (conference events, subscriptions, corporate subscriptions, editorial content). What do you dislike? We did encounter an incident where polls that were closed suddenly went live. No user clicked for the poll to go-live, yet it did. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? With the insights discovered through Hotjar, we have been able to adjust our ...
