Great tool for my team

Maybe I need to try the other companies to compare but our team loves it. It has helped us tweak a few things to better our conversions. Still using the trial version. No issues. We’ve been using it for about 6 months now. To each his own but we love it.

Very limited trial period with them

Very limited trial period with them. Software is bogus. Crazy Egg is way better and also FullStory. It seems they are trying to compete in a market where there are tons of other better players. I have also noticed that the browser is really slow when I have used Hotjar vs when I used Crazy Egg. I am currently using CrazyEgg and love it. Hotjar initially thought that there were no competitors in the market when they were founded except for Google Analytics.

Wow, this is a must have for all UX professionals! Dont walk, RUN to get this

What do you like best? The ease of use. The customer experience is amazing! We couldn't think of an easier product to use for all our needs. Hotjar makes it easier to optimize our site to help our consumers find the exact things they need. Their heatmaps are AWESOME!! Hotjar uses data and insights we gather from Google Analytics. IWe can see and get great feedback that helps us understand what is really on our site. We need to see what our users care about, and what they want to say/ ...

Great insides to the visitor's behaviour

What do you like best? Hotjar is a great tool to monitor how visitors use your websites. It helps you identify if the visitors use your website in the way you have designed it and point out the parts that don't work. This tool allows you to see the visitors journey, what parts of website they are looking on and how they interact, what pages of your website they are landing on, and exciting, what divice they use etc. What do you dislike? The only disadvantage in hotjar is that it ...

Great for short term use

What do you like best? Great to see the basic design of your website, and what people are clicking on What do you dislike? it doesn't make sense to pay for it long term. Should be used as a check-in tool What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? what are people clicking on when they go to your website?

I have solved the problem of having no idea what people are experiencing.

The idea is cool, but it's hard to make decisions from Hotjar

What do you like best? You can see how people are interacting with your site, where they're falling off, etc. What do you dislike? Watching recordings of visitors is cool, because you can see where they go on the site and everything. However, it's nearly impossible for me to gain anything from them. I once sat with my coworkers once and we watched recordings for 30-45 minutes. Afterwards we had no idea how to move forward. Recommendations to others considering the product: ...

Hotjar is easy to use to learn about user behaviour

What do you like best? Its is really easy to implement, with access to heatmaps and clickmaps to understand how users are interacting with your website. What do you dislike? Although you can see what your users are doing, it is difficult to understand 'why?' users do what they do. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Hotjars helps identify roadblocks in user journeys, elements unseen on the page and elements rarely clicked

Limited capabilities

What do you like best? I like being able to review heat maps and session recordings too What do you dislike? You are limited as to what you are able to set up and these can’t be automatically refreshed which is annoying. You also need to know what data you want before you realise that you need it What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are identifying accessibility needs and bugs in the websites
