I really like google hangout for work and friends, just depending on what I need to use it for. I really appreciated the use of Google Hangouts when I was in my marketing class in college because it allowed us to connect with some really awesome people! WE love google hangouts because this helps us chat within our gmail accounts. We use this to make sure communication is on point with our day to day work environment. I don't like that it is not HIPAA approved. We wish that it was though. This is making it easy not to shout a lot of things across the room if we need to mention a certain topic.

Hangouts keeps chat in a simple way. Friendly interface, intuitive functions like copy, paste, etc. Able to access web browsers from sent links. Great interaction betweek other Google apps Not sure about data-privacy. I use hangouts in an company network and most of the typed information is classified.
