Great software, difficult learning curve
What do you like best? Gimp is my go to photo editor because of the price. It does almost everything that more expensive editing software does. The plug-in and effects that you can get for gimp make the program a powerhouse. What do you dislike? There is definitely a learning curve with gimp, as is different in many ways from say Photoshop, so I often have to look up the steps to do something on line or in a tutorial because it can be rather occluded. Instead of being able to save to the type of file you want directly in Gimp, it creates xcf file types. You have to export files and chose settings - which is sometimes confusing to me.
