Diversity

What do you like best? I like the dynamic ability of this program to do a multitude of editing. It has the ability to do minute adjustments to photos, as well as broad adjustments. There are multiple layering options to render photos in any way you can think. I enjoy the ability to specify the size in pixels or inches. That dynamic ability can allow you to create images in any way you see fit. I also enjoy the exporting options, they allow you to do very specific things before your photo ...

Excellent free alternative to Adobe Photoshop

What do you like best? Best of all, this software is free. It has a much improved interface compared to previous versions, highlights an oscuto theme to mitigate the environment, has an improved engine for color management and best of all is the unified transformation that simplifies the realization of multiple transformations involving actions such as rotate, Climb and perspective. What do you dislike? Learning this software is not easy for novice users. The interface, however, is ...

Gimp Your Way To Great Design

What do you like best? Gimp is a great way to create stunning graphics, edit photos, and design eye catching ads. I love the ease of use of the shape tools and the variety of tools. What do you dislike? Where Gimp falls short is its less than intuitive design. The tools require more instruction and direction from the operator than tools found in the Adobe suite. That said Gimp is free and is more than adequate for most basic design projects. Recommendations to others considering the ...

Great free alternative to Photoshop

What do you like best? It's free and open source, so fed by user input and the greater community. It has most of the features I remember from Adobe's equivalent product, which I last used around 2010. What do you dislike? User interface is a bit clunky at times. Recommendations to others considering the product Absolutely worth considering this alternative to Photoshop if you are an infrequent user and/or are in search of a free alternative. What business problems are you solving with ...

Editor de fotos completo

What do you like best? ...

Nice application for free

What do you like best? In my point of view, one of most important advantages is fact, that this is totally free application. This is nice tool for front-end developers which need to check colors, sizeof some elements of design, etc. Also GIMP has very big community, so if you have some problem, you only need to Google a little bit in the Internet. What do you dislike? When GIMP starts first time I need to change layout. This is probably only one thing, which could be changed. ...

Powerful image editing but not so easy to use

What do you like best? Cost savings. Gimp is FREE! image editing software but you can also do batch processing. You can open pretty much any file type and do file type conversions. The only serious competition in this space is Adobe, which is definitely not free. What do you dislike? It's not as intuitive as other image editors and has a longer learning curve. Also probably not what I would recommend for photo editing. This program feels like it moves very slowly at times (like it's ...

The free program

What do you like best? I've been using it for years and now I'm doing professional work with this program for both large-format printing and photo retouching. Simply: you can do all the things you do with Photoshop you can do with Gimp. For example, photo retouching and creation and editing of images. Also, conversion to different types of files and photographic compositions. For most people it's more than enough ... and, if you do not know how to use Photoshop, it's the same as learning ...

GIMP graphic designer that outperforms the competition for free

What do you like best? GIMP it's made for windows, linux and many other OS, that is a great advantage! also it's free, that's the best of it of course but also the updates are free too, there is no paid version. GIMP is kind of like a free Photoshop. It’s designed to incorporate many of the filters, tools, and photographic effects you get from Photoshop, but it doesn’t cost you a penny to use. That’s pretty awesome. What do you dislike? GIMP is free, but it’s also highly technical. You ...
