The ultimate free image editor.
What do you like best? GIMP provides all the tools I need for professional image editing. From removing elements from photos, to laying out images for web sites or my webcast. GIMP is always my go-to on both Windows and Linux. What do you dislike? There's really nothing to dislike about GIMP. If I had to be nitpicky, I'd say the "minor" annoyance of changes between version to version (eg., the inclusion of two drop shadow plugins) can be a bit annoying. But it's so inconsequential that ...

Photoshop minus the Adobe
What do you like best? I've used Gimp for many years now and they are constantly upgrading and making improvements. On it's own it's a decent image correction device, but once you really dive into using it, it is an extremely powerful tool. I recently started taking a course to open up my knowledge to what all GIMP can do. What do you dislike? It's hard to say what I don't like since I am still finding out more and more about it now that I am using it for more than simple edits. Maybe ...

Best Open Source alternative to the big ones
What do you like best? The main advance is the Open Source part and the fact that other platforms are now Software as a Service and require you to get a monthly subscription versus having your own free copy in your systems helps a lot and matches my design needs (which are not very frequent since I'm a software engineer and not a designer), What do you dislike? UI is not as polished as other products, but the learning curve is not bad at all. It may be hard to switch from the big ...

Great for graphics on a budget
What do you like best? GIMP is not the best image editing program out there, but you can't beat the price! Has all the basic features I need without spending a fortune on Photoshop. What do you dislike? I find that images are not always as sharp when exported from GIMP vs another program, less features than Photoshop What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Our company does not have the budget for pricy software, so GIMP is a lifesaver for ...

Free and customizable
PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I like that it is free and accessible on the web anytime. Another plus factor is that it has all the features and functionality that you get from Photoshop. I can edit images whenever and wherever as long as there's a net connection, love that I can tweak the interface to my liking. What aspects are problematic or could work better? They could improve on making this program user-friendly and intuitive. Beginners will find it hard ...

Free Variable Photo Editing
What do you like best? The ability to edit vector images on a free platform gives our business flexibility and ability to meet our needs without needing to outsource. Easily save files as different formats. What do you dislike? The user face takes a little bit to get used to. I wish there were more descriptions when toggling on software so you can easily tell which tools you have selected. Takes some playing around with to get used to. Recommendations to others considering the ...

Gimp is great tool for photo cropping.
What do you like best? I like how user friendly GIMP is and how easy it was to learn. What do you dislike? I think it could be more updated in terms of look. More modern-looking. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We need to meet specific sizing for submitting photos. We use GIMP to crop photos to the right size, since we cannot do it in the software we use.

The best free photo editor!
What do you like best? My favourite graphic editor is GIMP. This enables the export of files from.pdf to.png in different formats — ideal for the production of vectors and company logos. In the work area, it has several resources that make it much easier for advertisers to design an image. It offers multiple sources forms, as well as filters and effects that enrich every image we manipulate. The user interface is straightforward. There's not a very steep learning curve. It's free ...

GIMP. tu editor fotográfico gratuito e ideal.
What do you like best?
