Float pros and cons

  • Offers an intuitive and user-friendly interface that minimizes the need for training, enabling fast onboarding.

  • Simplifies workflow visualization with a clear layout, helping users see team availability, workloads, and schedules at a glance.

  • Powerful real-time collaboration features enable seamless task updates and team coordination.

  • Features such as drag-and-drop scheduling, customization options, and colored task coding streamline project and resource management.

Perfect tool for your projects

What do you like best? Float has a very easy interface that can be mastered in a few minutes. The tool is very definite and orderly and allows you to plan projects in the long run. What do you dislike? Unfortunately, it sometimes freezes and the editing tools stop working properly (for example if you are scrolling down to the end of template with projects tool for editing the project are being cut) Recommendations to others considering the product: If you are looking for ...

Easy to use scheduling software

What do you like best? Float is really simple and effective scheduling tool that helps us manage our projects and workforce. Our guys are remote and on customers sites a lot so the fact they can log in on the internet and see their schedules is great. What do you dislike? I would like to be able to colour code tasks as well as projects but that is a minor point. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We have simplified the ...

Simple and easy to use

What do you like best? Float's interface is extremely easy to understand, with colour coded projects and time labels helping to read schedules at a glance. Being able to view other people's schedules is useful when managing time throughout the day. What do you dislike? On occasion, Float doesn't always update in real-time meaning expectations can become a little confusing. Time could be more granular as well so that .25 hours can be used. What problems are you solving with the ...

Everyone should use float!

What do you like best? - Easy to use - Quick - Good visibility of information What do you dislike? - Unable to sync with our previous planning board so we had to manually update Float with all bookings for all resources - There is no location option for bookings that's fully visible Recommendations to others considering the product: Check that you can integrate float with your current planning board/ booking system to make the data entry and setup easier. ...

Project Management and full utilization

What do you like best? As a consultant, my job requires me to work on different projects at the same time. So planning for different customers with individual tasks is key to succeed in the IT world as a consultant. Since we are all scattered around Germany (mostly at a customer facility) the best part about Float is that the whole team can see where I am and for what customer I work at a specific time. That's key for the upper management to see who is available at what time and could ...

By far the best tool I've found to allocate people to projects

What do you like best? easy to use Clear setup Organisations / skills / tags for people and projects What do you dislike? I'ts not quite as snappy running in a browser. I'd like to see an windows app for this. Recommendations to others considering the product: Set up some simple free accounts in Float, Teamweek,... I'm sure Float will come out on top (depending on your usecase ;-) ) What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

Float is fantastic!

What do you like best? I like most about Float is the user friendliness. Its simple to use and very clear to see what bookings you have in the upcoming weeks. I use it every day and its the main piece of software I use as a Project Office Coordinator organising around 90 peoples planners can slightly chaotic at times but Float makes it that bit easier! What do you dislike? Everything about float is great only one thing I would potentially change is how a 'status' is shown on ...
