Float makes scheduling so easy
What do you like best? I like that you can easily search and pare down to locate the information you need. Visually it is very appealing and easy to maneuver through. What do you dislike? I do and do not like the holiday feature. I appreciate that you can easily add holidays in different regions, but it’s kind of difficult to customize for a large group. I also have a problem when I am working in Float - the “My projects” “Departments” drop down lingers and I constantly have to ...

Float your boat
What do you like best? A week-at-a-glance view has been proven as a way of improving individual productivity, time management, and performance -- this is why so many electronic planners and hard-copy planners are organized this way. Having a team view the week at a glance also confers similar benefits, as well as the accurate resourcing of projects, work activities, and the time of those people performing the work. What do you dislike? E-mail notifications could be a touch faster. ...

Good for managing dynamic workloads
What do you like best? Being able to see my own workloads and my team mates easily. Being able to look over long periods of time to remind myself what I did and when I did it. Getting emails when my float has been updated allows me to plan ahead for upcoming projects and use my time more efficiently. What do you dislike? It is pretty intuitive, so there isn't much to dislike. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you work in a projects based, busy ...

Great software for planning but missing some features.
What do you like best? I really like the possibility of having a global view of the activities and the possibility of having a fast (very fast) synchronization with the Outlook calendar. Furthermore, it is really useful to assign different roles to people in order to define planning permissions. Also like the possibility to define different project and client for a better organizzation of the tasks over the people of the team What do you dislike? I don't relaly love the graphic ...

Review of Float
What do you like best? I like the overall performance you gain from Float. If you know which person is not in-house you can just work around these obstacles. Additionally you get an overall overview who is working on which project for instance. It makes my life so much easier and more productive. It also reminds you if of meeting you have in the following week and which tasks need to be done beforhand. What do you dislike? I have, to be honest, nothing bad to say about this ...

Simple Schedule and Project manager
What do you like best? My company tried using Asana for about a year and found it too complicated to get everyone on the same page. Then we went fully manual, by switching to spreadsheets for schedule and project management. Float finds a nice middle ground of simplicity and interactive UI. It's great that managers can view everything from a project view and makers and creatives can look at just their own schedule. Plus the option to subscribe to an actual calendar format makes ...

Intuitive and effective
What do you like best? It is easy to deploy, and easy to use on a daily basis. What do you dislike? No issues whatsoever...it does exactly what we need it to do with no hassle. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Visibility to resources over multiple offices and work sites is very challenging. Float help us to manage that effectively, giving all team members that visibilty.

Float is leading our decisions
What do you like best? Float has a lot of features, but one of the most important is the dashboard to overview our projects allocation in one page. It's easy to understand where our team is working on and some possible work gap in our future schedule. What do you dislike? Float has a lot of report options. However, in our company, we always track the Earned value management for our projects. Currently, Float does not support this report. Then, we need to calculate it in an external ...

Great for Resource Management
What do you like best? Ease of integration with Microsoft Outlook Allows for quick review of personnel assignments, what projects and/or milestones they are supporting, to then let managers assign available personnel as needed to other projects and/or milestones. What do you dislike? Integration with inhouse resource management software. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Allows managers to know whom is working on what, and ...
