What is Field Ascend?
Field Ascend is field service management software for contractors with an office and a field crew: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, elevator service and facilities maintenance. The office books work, assigns it on a drag-and-drop planner with a live technician map, and sees progress as it happens. Technicians open each work order on their phone, record time and notes, take photos, work through checklists and collect a customer signature. The work order stays available when the signal drops, and everything syncs when it returns. The same record carries through to the quote and the invoice. Labor, materials and mileage recorded on the job go onto the invoice, which posts to QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, Zoho Books or FreeAgent. Planned maintenance visits recur alongside reactive jobs, and equipment history stays attached to the customer and site. Customers get a portal to follow work orders, approve estimates and view invoices. Pricing is published: $13 per user per month with a 3-user minimum, no setup fee, no annual contract and a 30-day free trial. All core features are included. It is not the right fit for a one-person business that only needs a calendar, or for an enterprise that wants a long custom implementation.
