Helpful integration of care everywhere to see records from other institutions. What do you dislike about Epic? Can be difficult to see both inpatient and outpatient visit records. What do you like best about Epic? I enjoy the many options that epic allows. It also has many different user options allowing specific people to only access what is needed. AS a research coordinator it comes in handy for sponsored studies. We can request a limited view of epic for our site managers/sponsor. This allows them to view only the medical information that is needed for the particular subjects. This saves us from having to keep paper copies of all of the records. What do you ...

What do you like best about Epic? Best charting system I've used. It's easy and fluid charting; orders are clearly stated. Navigating a chart is simple. What do you dislike about Epic? What do you like best about Epic? easily display different types of data at once, more information in the system than the previous one; inpatient records and outpatient records in the same place. many more safety checks in place vs previous system. What do you like best about Epic? I have been using Epic at Duke Raleigh hospital since 2015. It is easy to use, and I can modify the tab for my need. It also has very nice and friendly interface. What do you dislike about Epic? The first week that we went live, we didn't have enough support from the Super Users, especially on second, third shifts and weekend shifts. What do you like best about Epic? Increases communication, organization, and clarity. What do you dislike about Epic? Time intensive, having to duplicate the same charting in multiple areas, & so much clicking. Recommendations to others considering Epic: It's useful, but be prepared for it's time intensiveness. It's not particularly intuitive, so it takes quite a lot of training and use to become proficient. What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting you? Orders are clearer.
