"Epic-- a must for hospitals."

What do you like best about Epic? The best part of Epic is that it can be integrated in various hospitals. I have rotated to three hospitals so far and all use a type of Epic software for online charting. Each software can be catered to the specific hospital. What do you dislike about Epic? Despite the advamcements in technology and speed of online charting, there are still plenty of pages to fill in (charting is a pain!). What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting you? Epic ...

"Update Is Good!"

What do you like best about Epic? The newer update (within the last month or two) is more aesthetically pleasing than before. The flowsheets are easier to access from your patient list, which is nice and makes it harder to mischart on patients. What do you dislike about Epic? On some computers, it will automatically sign you in, but others you have to sign in multiple times. I am not sure if it is just our computers or the system. What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting ...

"EPIC at Medical Institute"

What do you like best about Epic? EPIC is an extremely powerful tool that is used as a go to for patient chart review and research projects. What I like most is that there are many smart tools (.dot phrases) that can be used, and one can customize a lot of the window for their type of clinic. What do you dislike about Epic? Sometimes EPIC is a bit clunky - things did not transfer as well as we wanted when we did an EPIC update, and it has caused some problems regarding a retrospective chart ...

"Gold-Standard but Needs Work"

What do you like best about Epic? It's an easy-to-use system that can integrate all across the country with various healthcare systems. It's user friendly so it wasn't too challenging to move from paper charting to EPIC, at least in my opinion. They update the version every few years to stay current. The interface is tailored specifically to the type of unit you work on which is helpful. What do you dislike about Epic? It is very "busy" on the screen. Lots of extraneous buttons and tabs ...

"An Excellent Tool For Bedside Nursing"

What do you like best about Epic? As a nurse, I appreciate having the patient's chart so easily accessible and customizable. There are many features & shortcuts that make it easy to access information. The program allows ease of navigation as well as charting. EPIC makes it easy for me to see the patient's stay as a whole -- being able to access information about their stay in the ED, their OR note, their previous history, and so much more before arriving to my med-surg floor. The ...

"Epic is fast and easy! "

What do you like best about Epic? It is way easier to maneuver through compared to our last software program: Concept 1. It’s built more like an app on your phone. What do you dislike about Epic? Nothing except the search tool is very specific. One wrong letter or hyphen and the item you’re searching for won’t pop up! Kind of finicky. What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting you? I work as a Compliance Specialist so I mainly deal with tax compliance. It’s easy to search for ...
