What do you like best about Epic? User friendly interface. The functionality is customizable. You can create and use templates that save time and effort. Order sets can be easily created and modified and save time when ordering a group of lab tests. What do you dislike about Epic? The inter-connectibility between hospitals is poor. What do you like best about Epic? Easy to find patients. Smart phrases are great and save a lot of time. What do you dislike about Epic? Too complicated to write notes. The encounters system is terrible. You should be able to just write notes on a patient without having to worry about an “encounter”. Also you shouldn’t have to log out to change your department. What do you like best about Epic? I like that they have now made the program easier to navigate. There are more options in how to get to something and you can customize the appearance as well now which is nice. What do you dislike about Epic? There is not much to dislike about the program besides when it crashes and the program does not fully close down so it freezes and IT has to go in and close it. "Very user friendly, customizable. Constant updates."

What do you like best about Epic? Lots of ways to do the same thing. Customizable per user and institution. Fast and effective charting and care plans. What do you dislike about Epic? Downtime when upgrades can be challenging. Loading of patients charts and MAR can be faster. What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting you? It has made time management very effective with the Brain. Great visualization of SBAR. Documentation while seeing past assessments.
