"Ease of use!"

What do you like best about Epic? I'm a nurse coming from Cerner (which I thought was great). Upon getting hired at my new job, I learned they used epic for charting. This program is so easy to use and customize to your liking! Love the copy and paste feature! Saved so much time!!! What do you dislike about Epic? Sometimes it is hard to navigate between units on the program. There are a ton of features that can clutter your workspace. I wish I could split screen certain menu items. It would ...

What do you like best about Epic? The interface and search features are what I like best. What do you dislike about Epic? There is really not much I dislike, but it can be a bit sluggish. What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting you? Looking up patients and implants.

What do you like best about Epic? Easy to read charts and see what procedures took place What do you dislike about Epic? Not intuitive for the billing office. Can be difficult to navigate payments and such. Recommendations to others considering Epic: Practice practice practice! What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting you? Very easy to compare charts to charges. Makes being a coder simpler.

What do you like best about Epic? Modern icons, helpful support, user friendly. In comparison to other softwares that appear significantly outdated, Epic does an excellent job at providing the options necessary for a consistently running, well operating hospital. "The best electronic medical record for hospital-based practice"

What do you like best about Epic? Fairly intuitive software with multiple ways to view results, documentation, and enter orders. Being able to pull old notes and visit diagnoses forward and amend is useful. I also like being able to create "favorites" for medications and orders. The search feature works well. What do you like best about Epic? It’s very comprehensive and a lot of info is displayed. A LOT. What do you dislike about Epic? It’s pretty difficult to navigate; even after careful training, I found it hard to remember where certain features were and what specific actions were required to just enact a simple control. What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting you? It’s made it easier to connect to the different persons involved in a patient’s healthcare.

What do you like best about Epic? I went through extensive training before the company I worked for went live with EPIC. I like the mouse guided interface.
