Very Lingo Driven, But Solid Software
What do you like best? Once you get the hang of it, the system is consistent and I have yet to encounter any bugs What do you dislike? Everything is very much dependent on knowing the codes you have configured. Love the features that this program offers
What do you like best? The functionality between similar products is very useful. The integration of this software from a previous version was very easy. What do you dislike? The changing from one screen to another is a bit slow. Also it seems to timeout from screen activity more often. What business problems are you solving with the product? Great Planning
What do you like best? Some room for integration imporvement
What do you like best? The overall functionality and versatility, the product is quite easy to navigate and master. The look of BannerWeb is much simpler, much cleaner. This is perhaps my favorite aspect of Ellusian SIS. What do you dislike? Improvement in seamless integration is needed. It remains a bit unclear how the product works with BannweWeb, for instance. Ellucian SIS
What do you like best? This software, and the newest update, has made accounting a breeze. The financial system allows me to easily see where any reconciling item may be, and allows me reference codes so I may gather further detail. The new capability of using Chrome is a great feature as well because our entire organization is comfortable with the format. What do you dislike? Cost would be by far the biggest issue. Robust program
What do you like best? As with any software that can be defined as "robust" there is a learning curve. However, the end result delivers. The software is robust and powerful. What do you dislike? This product does have a large learning curve. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We utilize Banner by Ellucian for our finance, student AR, finance, and payroll systems.

Has its ups & downs
What do you like best? I use the Colleauge aspect of ellucian & their interfaces are pretty standard What do you dislike? I don’t feel like it’s as up to date with the competition as other software What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It usually assists with our students issues and problems. Helps out with student success by giving the right information

Major SIS player, but lousy support
What do you like best? Running Banner on Red Hat Linux & Oracle RDBMS means we have a good software stack. What do you dislike? The Ellucian support is poor, and the big version 9 roll-out has been a slow-motion wave of unhappiness (due to late delivery and poor performance. Recommendations to others considering the product Run it on Linux, not Windows, and move to Tomcat from WebLogic as soon as possible. Work with a third-party consultant. One of the top higher education software
What do you like best? It is a reputable company that has gone through some changes. That being said they do strive to stay on the cutting edge of technology. Their support teams are pretty good. What do you dislike? Though I am not privy to all the cost I have seen some of the annual renewals and makes me feel I am in the wrong business. What do you like best? That I don't have to be on campus to use it as well as it doesn't have the java requirement anymore!! What do you dislike? Still working out kinks with the Major Changes. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? NA
