I used to love eclipse for its stability and easy to use
What do you like best? It used to be a lightweight and performant IDE which I used for developing various types of applications. I like the refactoring and debugging support. The integration with multiple tools and technologies like : build tools (maven ,VCS (git, svn, perforce, webservers (jetty, tomcat, plugins.. What do you dislike? You can do a lot, but the UI is a little overcrowded
What do you like best? Because of the "Marketplace" where you can browse and install IDE extensions almost like a Play/App store, extending the Eclipse IDE to do what you want is relatively easy. If you wanted to, you could program in most languages with Eclipse. What do you dislike? The UI is very busy. When you're just starting out, there are too many options even to the point where switching between workspace views is really daunting. The Neon release at least made it a little more ...
