Dynatrace pros and cons

  • By providing real-time data with detailed breakdowns, Dynatrace allows for quicker identification and resolution of performance issues, reducing downtime and improving service reliability.

  • Dynatrace measures every step of the user experience, allowing businesses to track all aspects of application performance across the entire user journey, not just isolated metrics.

  • With intuitive and context-aware dashboards, Dynatrace presents data in a way that’s easy to understand, making it simpler for teams to spot and address performance bottlenecks.

  • The software automatically captures comprehensive application data, including beyond the standard metrics, providing deeper insights into performance and helping businesses address issues proactively.

  • Dynatrace’s pricing may not be affordable for smaller businesses or startups, as it’s designed more for large enterprises, making it less accessible for budget-conscious organizations.

  • Due to its comprehensive monitoring capabilities, Dynatrace can be resource-heavy, potentially putting a strain on system performance, especially in environments with limited resources.

Does a lot but has a learning curve!

What do you like best? I like the design of the software as well as the breadth of the data that it monitors without lifting a finger. What do you dislike? In my opinion, you need some dedicated training to be able to use this product adequately. Just buying it and thinking you will learn it on your own isn't possible. Recommendations to others considering the product: Be ready to be blown away by the breadth of information that you will be exposed to by using Dynatrace. What ...

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Performance problems and ...

Implementation was a breeze and integration was seemless

What do you like best? The ability to quickly identify and narrow down to the exact areas of issues. The tool has helped us identify various performance bottlenecks with the application. We were able to trace to the exact piece of code that was causing the maximum performance issues. We were also able to identify the issues with the application when used with various browsers.
