You Don't Get What You Pay (Too Much) For

The platform seems robust, but it takes a lot of configuring to get it to do what it's supposed to, which isn't very cut and dry at all. Their customer service is also very lacking considering they charge 3x what similar platforms charge. I ran into several issues where the guidance contradicted their own statements elsewhere in their system. Friendly responsive support

We have had a longstanding relationship with Dotdigital and in that time they have been on hand to talk us through any changes that we have made.Our account manager is great - so approachable for support, both in terms of day-to-day help as well as helping with our account renewals.

Built into Magento 2 is Disadvantage

dotdigital Engagement Cloud for Magento does not work as you expect. Magento 2.2.2+ pre-loaded with Engagement Cloud provides NO Advantage. You expect it to work since it is built-in, but the first step will be to have your developers upgrade to the latest connector even if you have the latest Magento 2 release. Then, dotdigital's servers will not get your data from Magento 2 due to their timeout issues which you will pay your developers to troubleshoot.Long before your 12 month contract is ...

Account Director (Jas) is great.

The platform is not without its problems and sometimes it can be frustrating to use but thankfully Jas, our account director, has been on hand to help us and provide us with excellent support. The recent move to a more transparent roadmap and features development is a welcome breath of fresh air and something that is long overdue. There are still some things that it lacks but hopefully moving forward the platform will add these and grow even better.
