"Does everything an OS is supposed to do"

What do you like best about DiskStation? DSM is the heart of the OS - everything you need in an operating system. Similar to a graphical Linux. Great for simple maintenance of the system. What do you dislike about DiskStation? Sometimes you're way better off using the command line thru Putty, as the graphical interface doesn't have all the fine controls. What problems is DiskStation solving and how is that benefiting you? Used to store and process about 36TB of video files.

What do you like best about DiskStation? Synology has some very solid products and the software is very easy to use and user friendly. What do you dislike about DiskStation? Some of the labeling is not intuitive. There are things that are not clear if you only go into the software occasionally. Recommendations to others considering DiskStation: You can do a lot worse that Synology. Solid software and solid hardware. Look into their networking products too. What problems is DiskStation ...

Using a laptop with limited space, I also enjoy the security of knowing my files are safe at home but accessible anywhere without any mothly cloud storage fees. What do you dislike about DiskStation? The operating system is a little sluggish and moments software is a little clunky. This may be as I have an older disk station ds215 What problems is DiskStation solving and how is that benefiting you? Expanded storage accessible anywhere.

What do you like best about DiskStation? This product handles like a champ. I am able to easily integrate products which help with our local intranet What do you dislike about DiskStation? To date, we have not had a problem or issue. Backups are easy. What problems is DiskStation solving and how is that benefiting you? Managing all of the Diskstation applications in one centralized place.
